Standard Half-Day Tour, Afternoon

Service Description

This is a 4 hour bird and wildlife watching tour departing from downtown Juneau. We will load into the van for a short ride to one of a handful of different locations for viewing our local bird species. We aim to diversify our birdwatching portfolio by visiting a few different habitats on each tour. We will spend part of the time walking local trails in search of passerines, ravens and eagles. We will also make a stop or two for our shore birds, gulls, ducks, and sea birds. Though these tours are geared toward watching birds, if we happen upon other critters while we are out there we will certainly stop to have a look! Other animals frequently encountered include black bears, porcupine, sitka blacktail deer, river otters, as well as distant views of seals, sealions and even the occasional whale!
